ABOUT

I’m a novelist and short story writer from Austin, Texas. I’ve been a reading addict for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always been especially drawn to novels with elements of mystery and suspense (as well as stories with a dash of the surreal or paranormal). As a teenager, I devoured all the Lois Duncan books I could get my hands on, and as an adult, I’ve been a big fan of Megan Abbott, Liane Moriarty, Sarah Waters, Flynn Berry, Celeste Ng, and more.

Over the years, I’ve worked as an SAT tutor, a piano teacher, a middle school English teacher, and a copy editor. I now spend my time writing novels and running my writing coaching business, Fresh Ink, where I mentor fiction and memoir writers. My specialty is working with creative writers to improve their craft and overcome mindset blocks so they can reach their lifelong writing goals.

When I’m not writing, you can find me two-stepping, swimming, or listening to true-crime podcasts.
